At Canine Connection, our goal is to keep dogs in their loving homes by providing clear and effective training and behavior solutions and management strategies. We want you guys to grow together as a team. We want owning a dog to be enjoyable! We want you to be successful. Real training, with real results! That's what we guarantee! |
What is your training philosophy?
Our dog training philosophy follows the scientific behavioral approach of operant and classical conditioning and involves the least invasion and minimally aversive approach. We are a fear free training company that believes in deepening the relationship with your dog through a reward based program. Our approach is backed by the most current ethology studies, the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, and the world’s most renowned animal trainers and behaviorists in the field. We do not believe in inflicting pain in order to punish undesired behaviors, we seek to replace them with more favorable behaviors for a more safe, effective, and long-lasting result.
What methods do you use?
Here at Canine Connection we tailor our training to each individual client, approaching every dog as an individual. However we do not use physical corrections, or any products manufactured to cause pain, this includes shock ("e-collars") and prong collars. We want to focus on teaching your dog what we do want, we don't want a dog who only preforms a behavior because they are afraid of being hurt or punished. Using this motivation allows us to create a dog who SEEKS to do good, not a dog who is constantly trying to find a way around the rules.
What kinds of dogs do you train?
Any and all!! We work with all breeds!
