Chelsea's heart is owned by these three little dumplings.
General the Chihuahua, Haven the Italian Greyhound and Maisie the Pekingese.
Each with their own personalities, strengths and weaknesses, they've taught her valuable lessons, patience, and allowed her to practice, perfect and maintain her craft.
General is a (retired) medical alert service dog who also performs in trick dog events, agility and obedience. He's the boss and he knows it. He may be small, but he has exuberance for life and a larger than the world attitude. This little dog is the heart and soul of Canine Connection LLC, and you will often see him helping with lessons, or out and about with Chelsea in public. Chelsea is almost never without him by her side, and over the years he has stolen the hearts of many of our clients and their dogs!

Haven was rescued from a hoarding situation in which she lived her entire life in a pen with her litter. She required extensive and time consuming behavior modification and tons of tlc before she came out of her shell. She has come a FAR way for a little screwy dog with the worlds worst genetics. While she now suffers from EPI and a host of other digestive based ailments, she enjoys snuggling under her blankies, off leash walks, squeaky toys and any and all food!

Maise is a 13+ year old Pekingese that our neighbor found wandering down Sunset Point Road. Initially she was just here for a 90 day stray hold, but once she wasn’t claimed, she was vetted, had a dental, got spayed and microchipped and was put up for adoption! After about 7/8 months with very little interest, Maisie fought a battle with IVDD that left her paralyzed past her lower lumber/sacral spine. After lots of therapy and medical intervention we are happy to announce she has full use of all her legs at this time! Though that may change with time, after that entire medical fiasco Chelsea and Fernando knew she was here to stay!

Shout out to the OG’s, who are gone but never forgotten ❤️
Mac was a rescue from unfavorable circumstances. He came to us not trusting people, overwhelmed by the human world, and lacking in any experience outside a kennel on a concrete slab in a back yard; neglected, scared and alone. He served helping other dogs learn to trust and to overcome. However, we did loose our boy at the end of 2019 due to a sudden and aggressive cancer. RIP handsome.

The dog who started it all. Dover. This handsome mug was adopted from Suncoast Animal League in 2008, and changed Chelsea’s life forever. He was adopted while her goal path was in the medical field and due to a series of events, her gears were shifted to the behavior and training field. The rest is history as they say! This dog helped her find her footing as a trainer, taught her more than she ever could have hoped, and helped her establish some long lasting friendships and partnerships with like minded people that are still going strong to this day. Without Dover there would be no Canine Connection LLC, which is why the outline of our logo features his side profile alongside General’s. A true piece of her heart, Dover will forever and always be loved and missed terribly.
