Service Dog Training is one of the fastest growing needs in our community. Here at CANINE CONNECTION we are no stranger to the special relationship between a Service Dog and their Handler. Our owner and Lead Canine Behavioral Consultant is accompanied by her own Medial Alert Service Dog while out in public, and understands the unique challenges public access training presents, and the skills nessecary to take you and your service dog to the next level.
If you are interested in Service Dog Training, please let us know and fill out a request form below. You MUST be qualified for a Service Dog, and your dog must meet the qualifications needed to assist you in daily tasks.

Therapy Dog Work, not to be confused with Service Dog Training, is a rewarding way to give back to the community for those dogs whose temperament and training are both reliable and resilient. Dogs who are gentle with children, empathetic of those expierencing emotional lows, or just love to curl up while being loved on and gushed over are prime examples of good therapy dog candidates. While Service Dogs aid in helping their handlers complete everyday tasks with normalcy, and whose rights are protected by the ADA's guidelines, Therapy Dogs and their Owners serve as volunteers at schools, hospitals, retirement homes, ALF's or hospice centers.
From working with a child who is learning to read, to visiting a senior in assisted living, therapy dogs and their owners work together as a team to improve the lives of other people. As experienced trainers, we are confident in our abilities to get you on the right track towards a therapy dog certification with an organization of your choosing, and will work with you on all the necessary skills required to pass and succeed in your therapy work aspirations!
